Who I am

I’m a photographer based within Cannock Chase, Staffordshire. I have spent a large part of my adult life photographing landscapes from woodland to seascapes. To keep sharp I also partake in as much street photography as possible which is good for honing your photography skills.

My photography journey first started at secondary school age with a Kodak Extra camera, a couple of roles of film and flash cartridge. I then progressed to Olympus SLR’s with a growing interest helped along by my maths teacher. Many a happy hour was spent first shooting landscapes in Black & White before developing the rolls of film in what now feels like a black cloth bag and a couple of plant pots.

A break then ensued until my early 30’s when I picked up a camera again in the form of a Minolta and Canon before moving on to digital with Fujifilm initially, then Canon DSLRs.

I finally sold all of my Canon DSLR gear due to the weight and moved to Fujifilm mirrorless following my previous experience with early Fujifilm compact and bridge cameras.

I love the smaller form factor, the colours the Fujifilm produces as well as the good selection of excellent lenses at a fairly reasonable price.
